I have a 2 year contract with Cingular for my cell phone. I am 8 months from my experation and my phone quits.I went to several Cingular locations and nobody would upgrade my phone. They told me to buy at retail price.NOOO way am I paying $200 for another phone.I was given the Nokia 6340i and I couldn't find one or a used phone anywhere.I went to E Bay and in 8 minutes and 15 seconds they were going to sell a like new with all the extras a Nokia 6340i for $29.99. I quickly signed up and bid and was awarded this PHONE

That is sweet, you know Verizon tried to get me on their extended plan for like $4/month. I told them no and they got nasty saying I'll have to pay full price for a phone if mine dies. I've been meening to go on ebay and see, WOW there are a ton of phones for like $20.

Glad you got a good deal.

I am 110% happy with my new Verizon Samsung phone. FREE. Color display flipper chick sex phone......

One question: the web services/stock quote services are $4 month extra. Is this normal?

I bought a pair of Samsung E105 flip phones from Tmobile for the wife and I recently. We both love them, mostly because they're tiny. You can drop the phone in your pocket and almost forget it's there. I wouldn't carry it around otherwise. They also have color screens, internet, text messaging, a voice recorder and a bunch of other cool stuff that I never use.

I have AT&T wireless and made sure to renew my plan before Cingular takes over. I got a new Nokia 3100, and my wife got a Samsung X426. Both great phones, mine was free and her's was $70. It really pays to go to the independent shops, our phones were much cheaper then through AT&T and some weren't even available.

BTW, how do you like Cingular? How is their billing?

I have a combined billing with Bellsouth that way you get better plans than even Cingular offers. The drawback is you still have to go through Cingular to have any service issues taken care of.I am sure there are better plans now since its a cutthrout bussiness but bundling my cell internet local long distance all very good rates at the time of under $160 a month seems like a good deal.I like the fact I get rollover minutes anytime anywhere both cell & home unlimited and a very fast DSL speed.
