Remember Brunei? It’s a small country near Malaysia run by a Sultan. It recently went through an economic development with a new 175,000 bbl per day refinery. The country produces 86,000 bbls of oil and imports the rest for refining and export.

Now, what about Burnaby? It’s a city near Vancouver where the TMX ( Trans Mountain Pipeline) loads tankers. Currently, a load of crude oil from the TMX is headed to Brunei for refining.

Shipping oil to Brunei is like selling sand to the Saudis.

Funny how things change.

As long as someone is willing to pay cost of crude at port, and shipping cost, I say gooooooooo......!!!!
Who also would have thought that US would be the world's top crude producer 10 years ago.
