So you wash your hair every day? I wash mine twice a week. Takes two washes with any shampoo I try.

Some places online sell it for $6.50 a bottle, which isn't terrible.

Pantene used to make a light anti-dandruff shampoo that was reasonably priced, but I haven't seen it in a long time... maybe it was discontinued.

Yeah, I wash everyday. I'd probably reek if don't living in FL. Once in a while I go two days and can't stand how it feels, especially with hair products in it. I use a conditioner every time and my hair grows like weed in summer rains so I guess I'm not doing any harm.

Chlorine causes dry skin. Water quality may contribute to scalp problems.

I've taken shower with chlorine added(know my water supply locations), it leaves my skin kind of dry like a film layer on it. When I take a shower with no chemicals in the water supply skin feels fresh. I've notice the difference. Years ago I had dandruff problems with chlorine and fluoride added.

Probably hardwater and soap scum. And sodium laureth/lauryl sulfate isn't as bad as people make it seem. It's the detergent in the shampoo, bodywash, and handsoap that does the cleaning. It's similar to traditional soaps, but when mixed with hard water it doesn't form soap scum since it has a sulfate group in in.

A guy who owns a successful hair shop told me that you don't need to wash your hair every day. Don't pay attention to commercials for the multi billion dollar "hair product" industry.

If you are washing your hair every day then your stripping the natural oils from your hair every day. And then your scalp ill produce more oils to compensate.

Taper down.

The Paul Mitchell Awapuhi can be bought just about anywhere,it`s pretty easy to find. A 13 ounce bottle is around $8-$10.

I just remembered that Garnier Fructis makes a dandruff shampoo. The scent is fruity-citrusy, but it would work for a guy.

Yup. It does contain SLS though.

But there is evidence that it may cause skin irritation with prolonged exposure. If someone has hypersensitive skin or dermatitis, SLS should be avoided, IMO.

I use Prell

I wash my hair every day, especially after going to the gym.

I use volume shampoo, seems to make the hair feel thicker plus I have oily hair. Try Burt's Bees or Aussie volume shampoo.
