$20 for 1-2 wires, $30 for 3-4 wires. I know that's cheap. maybe others have seen prices like these, but I have not. Still, I went with the DENSO for $52...but still very cheap. Fron sensor on the CRV has never been right since I did an intake cleaning. Replacement one did not do the trick as far as the ligt goes. MPG is ok, but it tanked at 16mpg at one point. iirc, the rear is a BOSCH and gives no codes, but I still shy away from BOSCH rinky-dinky parts. Some are good, not chain store BOSCH though.

The Denso is even cheaper on eBay. I am going to buy 2 Denso O2 sensors for my car. On eBay it's $23 including shipping.

The $18 one wire Denso got quite a rep in the Turbo Buick world. They stand up to leaded gas very well.

Stick with direct fit ones only.

Some are like $350. I can handle the wiring, so when and if it works, ok fine. Still, I hear you. The one on there is beat and I dunno why. If I get the same result with the new one (CEL) and mpg is ok, I'll give up. Still what and why would there be a difference???

I just don't trust the backyard wiring.

Most direct fit sensors are under $100. Not sure where you are getting the $350 figure from.

My mechanic confirmed that my CEL on my beater 95' Nissan PU is a faulty O2 sensor. It's in there for the T-belt right now. Anyhew, he mentioned that he doesn't recommend replacing it as in his opinion i wouldn't gain that many MPG anyway and wouldn't really hurt anything. He advised me that if it begins to run rough, which it does not now, then might be the time to replace it.

thoughts?

Upstream or downstream sensor?

The 4 wire Bosch sensor for my 528e is over 100$ from online sources. Ive had decent luck with a 40$ Bosch 3 wire for a 93 Mushtang 5.0. Takes me about 1/2 hr to morph it to fit.

I wouldn't trust a crimp type wire connection. You are only dealing with voltage under 1V, typically between .4v to .8v. Any resistance will throw the reading off.

Sometimes I will still buy from rockauto becaue I know the exact name brand part I will get, but when I need a part in a pinch its nice to have one that same day.
I didn't know AZ would price match online parts, that's good to know, thanks. I might actually buy more than just GC from AZ..
