I'm replacing the taillights on my Envoy with a set of taillights for an Isuzu Ascender. I'm going to be running all LEDs instead of standard incandescent bulb, and will need a load resistor for the turn signal. I'm wondering if a 50 watt/6 ohm resistor work for this purpose?

More details on the swap. Physically, the taillights are a direct fit, however, a couple of wiring changes will need to be made to the sequence:

Envoy
Top: Turn Signal
Middle: Park/Brake Light
Bottom: Park/Running Light

Ascender
Top: Park/Brake Light
Middle: Turn Signal
Bottom: Reverse

The Envoy has backup lights integrated into the rear bumper, and I don't like the idea of quad backup lights, so I've rewired the reverse light to serve as a park/running light:

New Setup
Top: Park/Brake Light (Red)
Middle: Turn Signal (Red)
Bottom: Park/Running Light (Red)

The bulb I'm considering is this for all three in red. Any thoughts on red for the turn signals over amber?

50 watt 6 ohm resistor is correct if you're only switching the rear turn signals to led. If the housing for the turn signal is clear, I'd get amber bulbs to differentiate your turn signals from your other lights.
