Seeking Place to Reliably Restore or Reman Fuel Injectors

I have some fuel injectors taken from my Toyota Rav4 after >300k miles that I need to restore or have cleaned. I put new ones in, but I want to restore these to keep them around. Can anyone point me in the general direction? Happy to ship from TX.

I heard @Trav was the man around here, but I cannot send him a private message.

What are the chances you will still have the car in another 300k miles? Even IF they are restored, they will have aged if an when you install them. Doesn't make much sense to buy and store mechanical parts you won't use in the near future unless it's for some rare or vintage car.

That’s @Trav - and he has done several sets of injectors for me. Volvo and Mercedes.

They come back clean, with proper spray patterns, and balanced flow. A noticeable improvement in idle smoothness, power, and economy when they were done on cars with 200,000+ miles, despite the use of fuel system cleaners in those cars.

Highly recommend his services.

But talk with him about storing injectors. He cautioned me that I needed to install them within a month after the work. That wasn’t possible on the 1975 Mercedes I restored, for example.

Thanks guys for the plug. OP what year is this car? Are the new injectors brand name or ebay specials? Generally cleaning the OE that are in the car is a much better option than using no name, reman or ebay injectors.
Storing injectors can be problematic especially if they are the older pintel type, they tend to stick if left more than a month but can be unstuck fairly easily, I see NOS ones of these stuck right out of the box but they are easy to get working again. On the other hand storing old injectors without blowing the fuel out of them they may stick permanently and may not recover, while rare it does happen occasionally.

Could you store injectors in a jar of diesel? It will keep them clean and from sticking

Some lifters are supposed to be primed with diesel and stored in it until used

Sounds like that’d be for mechanical injectors not electric ones.

If it gets into an accident, knock on wood, then it'll be gone. But go ahead and doubt me. I love that old Japanese crap-can and you know what? It's getting 135-145 PSI of compression in every single cylinder. That car is out there proving to all you doubters that these new cars with their hybrid, cylinder shutoff, turbo, driver mode, push to start, touch-distraction-screen, plastic blah blah is just $40,000 of crap and yeah, it will go another 300,000 miles as my daily.

The maintenance is barely anything by the way, just did a CV axle the other week for the first time in the car's life for $130.

General: Trav did reach out to me and I'm happily going forward with his service, getting back the injectors in sealed packaging, and will have to follow up before installing. Hurst Injector Service seems like a solid company, and I am confident the results will be good.

Our 95 Tacoma has a lot of miles. I’d like to have the injectors serviced. Good idea. Just need to find time to remove them.
