Search Range Limited to 1 Year now????

Hey Administrators, what gives with the new 1 year search range max limit?

They said they changed it to 4 years....

Sorry guys, but at 5 years everytime someone would do a search for that long it would lock the index until the search was completed. Get two or three people doing 5 year searches and it effectively shut the board down.

If they did, it apparently didn't affect me... my search function still says 1 year.

G, I see why you guys had to limit the search range, but it's still sad because there is such a treasure trove of info from the past... please don't delete the archives - maybe someday there may be a viable way of searching them.
