Got some Seafoam a few days ago. Wish to do a cleaning of the Jetta's intake, etc. Can someone with a bit more knowledge about these things than I give me the play-by-play on this one? Thanks.

Oh yeah, same goes for a 318 Magnum as well.

John.

You should look at the faq section on AudiWorld. iirc, there are two vacuum connections on the intake manifold that you should attach a T fitting to, then dip the hose from it into the SeaFoam.

Okay. Picked up some 3/16" hose this afternoon. Got back and set to work. Stopped pretty much right away. The transverse 1.8T's intake manifold is not the same as the longitudinal one... No such little attachment taps as per the linked directions. Any more suggestions for me, guys? Sorry to be a nuisance.

John.

Don't use too much at once...this is a small engine. Do the job after dark and expect SMOKE! Do an oil change after the treatment in case much sneaked past the piston rings.

Why not pull the brake booster or just use deep creep?

I did 4 cars in one day; at 1:00pm. LOL..neighbors where looking VERY confused.
