Seafoam Question

Some of the Seafoam will get into the crankcase. However, don't sweat it. After you pour the stuff in and let it sit, remember to do it when engine is warm, run it at regular temperature for about 20 minutes. Seafoam uses distilled products which will burn off like fuel does in the crankcase. It just takes a few minutes. Also, you have to run the engines to blow out all the carbon that loosened up from using Seafoam. Best to hit it with a couple of WOT runs.

I'm cleaning the intake and top-end with seafoam poured into the carbs of 2-454CID boat engines. Problem is I've just changed the oil in both engines (7-qts each Amsoil 15W40 marine diesel). A search indicated that some guys change the oil after the cleaning procedure. In my case I will be dumping a lot of expensive oil. During the cleaning does some Seafoam get past the rings and into the oil?

It isn't the seafoam that is so much the concern but the crud it knocks loose. I would wait till you are about ready to change the oil.
