Looking at the MSDS for Schaeffer's #9000 full syn 5W-40 oil, I see a couple of terms I hope someone can explain...

"Organomolybdenum complex of organic esters - Specific Chemical Identity Withheld as Trade Secret" Is this different from the MoTDC, "Molybdenum Trialkyldithiocarbamate Specific chemical
identity withheld (trade secret)," we're used to seeing in Schaeffer's oils? I know that there is a need to reduce sulfur in oil, and the "...thio..." is sulfur.

"Zinc C3-C14 Alkyldithiophosphate (CAS #) Proprietary" vs. the usual "Zinc C1-C14 Alkyldithiophosphate CAS-68649-42-3"

Hmmm...
the wording is different on the MSDS from Schaeffer's older products. And the CAS numbers are not shown.

Just a new twist on old friends, or something new and significantly different?

Yep, zink is very important!

Molakule" Another version of ZDDP"
Differences? pros? cons?

The new ZDDP simply contains a longer carbon chain ZDDP that should be more stable over a longer time period.

The Moly Triakyldithiocarbamate is still MoDTC, but more stable as well since it contains three alkyl molecules linked to the two sulfur and carbon atoms. The alkyl molecules reduce any acids that might be formed by the sulfur when the sulfur becomes free and decomposes.
