This is my second run of Schaeffer's Supreme Blend 5w30 and the second UOA of this oil in the wife's Explorer. I basically doubled the OCI from 4,119 miles to 8,214 miles. As you can see the wear was no worse for almost double the miles. That is a testament to the quality of this oil
. The oil was in use from Feb 20 to Sept 6 04, 6 and 1/2 months approximately. I added 12 oz of new oil at 4,400 miles. Didn't really need it it seems. Ford's dipsticks are designed by dipsticks
.

During these intervals the oil filter was a Motorcraft FL820S and it had a new Motorcraft air filter at around 15,000 miles and 30,000 miles.
The silicon is still high. I've checked over the fittings and tightness and all seems well. My best guess is that the air filter box is just a real poor fit/design and allows air leakage. Maybe I'll try duct tape to seal the air filter box.
