has anybody seen this anywhere. i cant find it on the shelves yet and i dont really want to buy a bulk order. any prices yet? im hopin its cheaper then rotella syn 5w40.

Your Schaeffer retailer can add the #9000 5W-40 to their next order. It is available in gallons, but maybe not yet in quarts. I got a price of $80 for a six gallon case from one seller.

i just found out the one place in town is now stocking the schaeffers 5w40. and its only 13 bucks a gallon. thats almost a buck cheaper than rotella syn 5w40. definatly gettin some.

I've found a retailer that stocks Schaeffer's products, they had an extensive selection, but no 5W-40.

When I inquired, I was taken to the manager, and he stated their salesman told him that the 5W40 wasn't selling, so they didn't bother to stock it. For being a fairly new product introduction, I think he was probably just blowing smoke.

Keep in mind that our market is primarily semis with engine oils not retail. 5- 40 is moving pretty well actually and is expected to pick up considerably when winter gets closer. Same add pack as the 15-40 blend which some will never switch from because of its performance history in big rigs.

I just added this oil to my VW 1.8t about 800 miles ago, this is my first try w/any Schaeffer product but I expect good results.
