Hope I'm back posting on Thursday.

Had one in Oct...
The "purging", as you say, is the most
uncomfortable part. You will be drugged
up for the procedure, and will know nothing,
and feel no discomfort what so ever....

bottoms up !
.
p.s...I must add that the colonoscopy probably
saved my life. Glad you have the courage to man up..

The purging part is good and the colonoscopy is no biggie other than loosing you last bit of man pride. I had one done in November and in fact the drugs were great. I can't wait for the next one, just for the drugs.

Never felt better in my life than when I first woke-up after mine a couple of years ago.

I begged for some (whatever they had me on) to take home with me.

They would not oblige, however.

My doc asked what music I wanted to hear as I went off to sleep. He didn't give me time to anwer before he put on Magical Mystery Tour. The last thing I heard was "....waiting to take you away....."

He also told my wife that I couldn't be held responsible for my actions for the next twenty-four hours because of the drugs he administered. I told her I needed to go do something to take advantage of that window of opportunity...

Perhaps 97Tird knows ... where is Dr. Haas when you really need him??...

Versed ( Midazolam )is an inter-venous medicine frequently used. It has a short half life so you can go home( much shorter than valium) It does have an amnesic affect. They might give you a valium tablet ahead of time , but usually its Versed given i.v.

The only difference between you and WW is,

He will be getting a degree in 4-years learning how to comfort people and tend their wounds and sickness.

They are going to drug you up, stick something that looks like 40 feet of garden hose in you, and give you the 4th degree.

Piece of cake, had it done last year.

Dr Oz [the Dr show on TV] had one done while he was awake. This and the results [video of his internals] were shown on TV. To his surprise, a polyp or two was found, and they simply bit it off with the built in 'alligator jaws' on the inspection device.

I just had a 9 inches of colon removed because of a poo blocking tumor.
