This is a yard engine, I don’t know its service history. Have run Valvoline Restore and Protect for the last 4 thousand miles. Two VRP changes with Wix filters. I was expecting it to be a bit cleaner. Recently the Fel-Pro gasket, started leaking. The VCG was replaced six years ago. It was still soft and pliable. The sludge seems attracted to the lost foam casting indents. Also the cam lobes seem to be slightly darker in spots. Just posting because a lot of people seem to like under the valve cover pictureS. And was not happy with the leaking VCG using the Valvoline RP. Maybe just coincidence. Car is at the end of its life for me. So not too concerned.
