Saturn Body control module.

I have a 2001 L 100 Saturn sedan. A few months ago I let a friend borrow it for a few months. When I got it back the wipers would wipe every now and then. No problem, I could live with that. But then the horn would honk at odd times. Those made me feel like a fool going down the highway.
I took it to my local mechanic. He has had it for two months now. He says he cannot locate the part. It is “22672022” a BCM Body control module. He’s tried junkyards and the dealership. So far no one has the part. Can someone help me? This car is the basic model. Manual windows etc. He said that if we get it from the dealership that it would have to be reflashed?

Check www.rockauto.com I saw it showed body control module but it's "non stock item shipping delayed up to 5 days", costs $271.19

If you feel daring, crack the cover and look for cracks in solder joints or bulging capacitors.

This could be involved in your security system, though, and could render the car immobile.

Here it is... $295 I would call local junkyards first.

It's going to have to be programmed, no matter where you buy it.

Thanks for the feedback. I believe MrCritical is correct. I could buy the correct part but it will have to be porgrammed. I don't think my shade tree mechanic can do it. I guess I will have him put everything back and take it to a GM dealer.
