That is all nice. I didn't ask you how your car was put together. When I go to buy parts, I simply ask if there are American parts for that application. If there are. I buy them. OBVIOUSLY if they aren't available, they aren't available. As for the rotors, There are American rotors available. Yes, Delco rotors are made in China. Their pads are not.

There are? Last I knew there was not one manufacturer left who makes them here. There are some that take blanks from other countries and machine them, but none left that do the whole thing.

If that's working for you, more power to you mate, because it's getting harder to find stuff actually manufactured in the US.
That said, I realise you haven't asked how my car was built, but with all due respect, neither has the OP asked you where you prefer your pads to be made.

Looking through NHTSA recalls, incorrect assembly, missing parts, wrong torque is a minority. Usually it's a cheezy part that some bean counter in a white collared shirt took all the strength out of.
This matches my experience with used cars. The assembly has been excellent-- over all makes and countries of origin-- but some parts are flimsy. Of course out of thousands of parts one has to fail first.

To the contrary. He asked what we thought of those pads and I said I would only use American pads. I guess I should have said I wouldn't use them. I thought it was implied so I'm sorry if I was vague.

Sorry for the delay, but I finally have some pics up. As far as to where parts are made, I'd rather buy something USA built, but I also would buy something that is made in another country as long as it was a quality product. I guess if I had a choice, it would look like this:

I just went through this when I did the brakes on my Hyundai. I couldn't find any that were USA made. Unless you find NOS parts somewhere, you likely won't be able to find them.
You may be able to find some specialized, high-dollar ones. But for OE replacements, I doubt it.
You could try EBC. They used to say that all their rotors were made in the US or UK, but just recently changed it. Now even they say that they sources parts from many countries, including china. But, they could have UK made rotors for your application.
