i have to say that most all oils that meet the require service class like sl, sm will do the job. If it was me and I wanted that weight I would use it.
Tech2000 is ok by my standards. I'm currently using tech2000 diesel oil in all my air-cooled engines (Honda GC, B&S, etc.) and also ASE30weight SA as my water pump lubricant.
Work wonderfully well.
Quest
p.s. I'm using Tech2000 ATF fluid on my wifey's Camry AT gearbox and it works like a charm
Does anyone know how well the above line of oil sold at Wally mart performs? I would like to use the above grade in my lawn mower, as they sell it $1 cheaper than the Motomaster oil. Since lawn mowers get the **** run out of them, I don't want to skimp on it for a dollar if it's not worth it in the long run.
I use one quart of it in my wife's car mixed with 4 quarts of 10w30 during the summer months. Works well. She has close to 146,000 on her car and it hims nicely.
I think that any of the numerous top brands of oil will work in small engines, especially in view of the small number of hours that the oil's in the engine between refills as recommended in the owners manuals.
