I guess this report was missed. (June 14th? ) Fe is consistantly high. Break in probably.

Why are you changing so often?? But this one looks better. Twice the milage and wear metals about the same or less.

Seems like a waste of $8/qt oil. Would a $4 or $2/qt oil do the same?

Doesn't it seem like you would still have the same Fe levels if it were just broken in with some petro oil using 3, 3k intervals

He probably does it due to the fact that when you drain the oil in an RX-8 you only get about half of the oil out, the rest of it gets trapped in the oil cooler lines.

Plus it looks like the the programming is on the rich side, thus fuel dilution of a 20 weight oil is an issue too.

This looks like an excellent report on the RX-8. Iron seems to be the only issue and it is on the way down. How much of the oil gets changed?

I would try Motorcraft 5w-20 or Mobil 1 0w-20 just for kicks. If the longest your going to extend OCI is 3k or 4k miles then Motorcraft would probably work great. I have a feeling that either oil would give better numbers than Redline.
