"My Running Shoes lose their ability to cushion too soon."

I like Reebok running shoes because they "breathe" well (keeps my feet cool)

I don't actually RUN--instead I walk (for 2 to 3 hours at a time.)

I find that the cushioning wears out real fast, after about a week.

That means I have to get new running shoes every week or so, I don't think I can afford that..

I was loooking into getting a kind of third party cushion and inserting it in.

I googled but didn't really fidn what I was looking for.

Any tips?

Invest in better shoes.

I usually get around 400-500 miles of hard running on my shoes (dedicated to running only). By that time they're still serviceable as walking shoes, but they've worn enough so I won't run in them any longer.

Saucony makes a great lightweight running shoe that breathes well. Make sure you get shoes that compensate for your type and degree of pronation.

The Brooks 'Beast' works for me. Although it isn't even the shoe that it used to be.

I have a slightly hard to fit foot. I get the Beast in a 12.5 - 2E.

As these shoes evolve towards being lighter, they appear to be losing durability.

I like the beast too.

Best, long-lasting cushioning for me has been nike shox and saucony...
