They say they can be a problem with certain meds, though I don't take any meds.
That said, I eat more oranges than GF.
I thought it was worth reposting.
It's a nice pic I took, IMHO.

Texas had a severe freeze back in 80's and they replanted with several great red varieties. This year the freeze also got them, but now lots of the Rio Star brand was juiced. I drink it like mad. It turns out that grapefruit keeps a certain enzyme that clears meds out of body. Result is your meds can get stronger. I never found any drug I take to be affected.

I peel them by hand then skin the segments.

I really like oro blancos.. but regular red grapefruit can be quite tasty too.

I love red grapefruit. It's supposed to be contraindicated if you're taking statins, maybe some other meds as well. I take a statin, but I'll still enjoy an occasional grapefruit. Don't indulge too often, though.

Love Squirt but not supposed to with my meds. I sneak one on occasion.
How about Diet Squirt, since I stopped drinking pop years ago diet squirt is the only one that taste good to me. I actually stumbled on it because I love margaritas but can't have all the sugar from the mix so I tried diet squirt, more of a Paloma I guess rather than margarita but works for me.

Thanks but grapefruit juice is not good for statins.
