They remove the link when they are updating it (even though it is removed for weeks at a time

Here's the direct link:

Thanks for reply. RP must be updating at least this part of their data where they have the cP of their 5W40 lower than that of their 5w20 ??????????

SAE GRADE / API SERVICE ASTM TESTS
D-4684 Pumping Viscosities
---------------- 5W20 ----- 5W30 ----- 5W40
cP @ -35C — 22,200 --- 34,800 --- 21,500

RP claims their 5w30 oil meets the fuel economy of a 5w20. Does the API approved oils use Synerlec?

No, if you're referring to the latest SN/GF-5 oils.

Anyone have a more recent PDS? They updated their website. Strange the product data sheets aren't more easily available.

Better wear protection
Enhanced additive technology prevents metal-to-metal contact beyond both dexos1™* and ILSAC GF-5 specs
Increased fuel efficiency
A low coefficient of friction results in optimized fuel efficiency (the fuel economy of our 5w30 meets the fuel economy requirements of a 5W-20 oil)
Better protection of the expensive catalytic emission system
Patented ZDDP additives optimize emissions catalyst system life
Improved compatibility with fuels containing ethanol
Patented additive technology prevents the white sludge and lubrication starvation that can occur with 20% or higher ethanol fuel

No problem. I don't know if the price has changed with the switch to SN/GF-5, or how the HPS line is priced. I do know that the 5 quart jugs are now available up here, with a regular price a bit above M1, although I could likely do better than that with my corporate accounts.

For those that are wondering, not that they claim it meets and exceeds dexos1 specifications. It is not, however dexos1 licenced. It does, however, have SN/GF-5 certification, in the appropriate grades, of course.
