I doubt the filtering performance of a filter is dependent on the oil used. I've never seen any data or talk associating the oil type with filter performance.

Do keep in mind that using a thicker oil will cause the pressure drop across the filter to increase, but if you're using 5W-30 I wouldn't worry about that being an issue.

yes, "we know this stuff" same exact filter. I wouldn't have gone through the trouble to make the video to prove it.
