Just greased up the ol' '97 Cherokee in the driveway.
NewMexico afternoon about 100 degrees.
Ive used RoyalPurple grease before, in the swingarm of my dirtbike. Checked it a year later and still in there and in good shape.
But.........
I bought a cartridge of it for my greasegun to use in the cars.
And whilst laying on my trusty sheet of cardboard noticed something running down my arm while pumping the grease in.
Running out of the bottom of the grease gun!
Something.....PURPLE?!?!?
Like the oil was seperating from the grease?!
Didnt notice until i was greasing the last fitting, so its already in there.
And granted the gun is stored in a shed thats probably about 120 degrees inside....
But my question is: is this normal?? dont recall this hapening with the slick50 grease i used to use.
2nd question: if this is indeed ABnormal, should i get something else in there, like quickly or what??
Or am i just overreacting?
Reason i used it is it seemed to work really good in the bikes and its aluminum based so its waterproof, and the Jeep sees lots of watercrossings when i go wheeling in the Colorado mountains.
Opininions?
