Same here I won't pay $10 a quart for ANY oil.

Heck at 10 a quart I might use it every so often. I haven't seen it for under 14 for quite some time.

Especially when I can buy whatever's on rollback for 25 a jug.

Back when I used RP,I was getting it for $6 a quart

Just bought a case of 12 Royal Purple HPS 5w30 for $93 shipped. $7.75/qt for a true Grp. IV synthetic that can do 12k runs easy is not a bad price. Additionally I just love how smooth and quiet my car runs on Royal Purple.

I have some Royal Purple 5w20 Synthetic w/ Synerlec (SL rated) that I bought at Walmart a few years ago. I think it must have been delivered mistakenly to them so they put it on the shelf (they were selling the non-Synerlec RP). I am 1 quart shy of what I need for an oil change and was wondering what would be a good substitute (similar in make-up to the RP)? If you think an 'oil from the past' (SL, SM, SN etc...) would be a good match let me know as I have a stash that may include it. TIA.

If I was gonna pay 10 bucks a quart it would be for M1 ESP, if anything.

Ah crap this thread is ancient and I don't see a delete button. Sorry.
