Royal Purple 10-2835 C/P (910S 3614 Equivalent)

This RP synthetic filter appeared on my step when to his horror, @Zee09 learned I was going to run a Fram Tough Guard. . This was an interesting filter, the paint was excellent, it had a pliable purple ADBV, can was very thick and media looked great. Fram style bypass but not a leaker. Wide open louvers too. Once I saw the media I suspected it might be wire backed and indeed it was. Run for 5k on my Mustang with Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage. Certainly could have been run longer but being under warranty I probably wouldn’t have anyway. Not sure who built this but it said made in USA.

More Valvoline Extended Protection High Mileage 5w30 went back in with a gorgeous green OG EcoGard S195.

Great question, I should have looked at it closer as my pic didn’t turn out very well. Somebody mentioned they thought they were older stock and I think that’s likely.

They were sold to me as new and not as old or a closeout and I did a c&p here when I got them...
That said I do believe they didn't sell well because they are not inexpensive. I think I have a few that were older in the shipment but I assumed they are all still wire backed today.
