In my eyes, this is one good looking bike. It comes with tubeless spoke wheels, mini-ape handlebars, full LED lights. The MSRP is $5,299.

Every time I feel like running to my local Royal Enfield dealer I force some discipline on my fat self and run to the Indian Royal Enfield website instead. Then I go through the wonderful task of figuring out what a crore and a lakh are, to eventually realize that this thing costs $2900 out the door in India.

And the tariffs have not even kicked in yet.
I would vote some "americanisation" applied to the thing when sold here (possibly better this or that, tires and whatnot, things that a US client won't tolerate), but wouldn't expect it to be too much.

And for the price, I'd look at the Guerilla. It's finally here, and it's a beautiful bike.

The current RE’s in the US have been coming with CEAT tires, Indian company. They started putting CEAT tires on their US bikes in 2022. My 2021 Himalayan had Pirelli tires from the factory. I have a feeling you won’t find white wall tire replacement after the factory tires wear out.

I'd take this all day over that Enfield...

I ordered the Speed 400 before they hit the dealers. I sold it with 400 miles on it. The fit and finish was top notch, but the transmission sucked in my opinion. 1st gear was so short and useless. I couldn’t even get through an intersection without shifting into second. Shifts between 1st and 2nd were never smooth either.

The funny part is that the conglomerate that owns Royal Enfield is larger than the next two combined, one of which is Bajaj, who builds the Speed 400. Not a huge reference, I agree, but still.

As an American born Indian. I remember the 350 well from my visits. There was even a diesel version that was quite tricky to kick start. You needed to pump to compression and give it a mighty kick. Pretty bike!

They’re actually comfortable. They bring my hands up and relieve wrist pain. I pretty much installed bar risers on every bike I owned, don’t need them on this bike.

I ordered the OEM sump guard when I bought the bike and it finally came in. It’s made of metal and looks good on the Goan. I never seen a company ship the nuts and bolts like this, nice touch.

I love the whole RE line. Love the Goan with or without the white walls. Can't decide between the 650 Interceptor, the Shotgun or the Super Meteor. I definitely don't need another motorbike as I love my Moto Guzzi and will never part with it. Just love these RE's. When I first saw the Bear it was too cool for my eyes. Had to have it. But the tripper dash was a deal breaker. Would have ordered one on the spot if it had twin analog clocks like the Interceptor.
