Amazon doesn't really ship rotors for free or anything else per se. What they do is usually charge a little more than RockAuto so the shipped price is about the same. Then also Amazon ships at a cheaper and slower rate. But if you are not in a big hurry to get them sometimes you can save a little on Amazon rotors with free shipping. It depends.
I think most all of the rotors are sourced from china now. I prefer Raybestos Advance Technology rotors or ACDelco. The thing about Akebono is sometimes they are as much or more than discounted OEM.
