I have a copy of a letter from Shell that verifies the fact that Rotella T 15w-40 Triple Protection is wet clutch safe and it meets the JASO specs.

That's why I use it in my Big Bear.

No clutch slippage yet.

My 2008 BMW motorcycle asks for a 15w-40 that is JASO MA approved as well as SJ (I believe, will check that). I have never seen any motorcycle oil sold in this grade or with these specs. The way the manual is written, at least in my interpretation they are basically saying HDEO is recommended.

If Moly is up in the RTS 5-40---I will not be using it in the YZ250F anymore. I still have an old stash of CI-4+ that I will use til gone. I have been going toward the 15-40 Rotella anyway, since I change out the oil a lot in the 4 dirt bikes I have.
