Did you get a UOA on the T5? I am guessing for such short OCIs, either would work close to if not exactly the same. I hate to say it, but its time to jump off the Amsoil Koolaid. I did and never looked back. The other is less in cost just for the simple fact one can pick it up locally rather than order it and pay premium prices. Do a UOA on both. Numbers do not lie.

Yes I have. Both of these oils have done well. The Amsoil however, has provided a smoother running engine and quiter injectors compared to th T5. This same scenario I observed in my previous 04 powerstroke when comparing T6 to mobil 1 TDT, the mobil 1 provided smoother engine run and quiter injectors. This is just my personal observations on my 6.0 powerstroke. I ran T5 for several oil changes, and its available and cost effective. The T5 costed me $90 oil change with filter. $125 with filter for the Amsoil OE 10w30 diesel shipped to my house. So, about $35 more for amsoil, but I could probably run the Amsoil a bit further than the T5 based off previous oil analysis. I just prefer the Amsoil and will continue to run it.

Good on ya. At least you admit you "prefer it" rather than "it's so much better than X oil". I am guessing the quietness is more of a placebo effect. One would have to have extremely good hearing to stand next to a 6.0 and convince me it's quieter just based on Amsoil vs. Rotella. If spending that extra $35 gives you a better feeling, then more power to you. I am willing to bet though that both engines, exact same conditions, run for 10,000 miles would have no difference in protection over the other or be better off than the other. Like you said, both had good UOAs, so your desire is more emotion based than fact based. I am just calling it what it is. This is coming from a former Amsoil junkie too. I wasted all kinds of money on bypass filtration, Amsoil blah blah blah and my Dmax was more than fine on conventional Delvac for the last 75k I had it. It had run Amsoil for 55k before that. Changing back to conventional netted me NOTHING but more money in my pocket. People do what they want and they should, but just call it what it is rather than what it is not.
