Haven't seen a VOA on this one, so: RON: The dominant additive in this Shell SAE 30W diesel engine oil is calcium, which is a detergent/dispersant additive (as is magnesium). The anti-wear additives are phosphorus and zinc. The TBN read 7.5, a nice, strong reading. When this oil is first in use that TBN number will drop quickly, and then taper off. This oil should work well for its application. Not too much to it, as it's a fairly old formulation.
It's the current formulation, Jim - at least that's what the bottles I picked up at Wally's are showing.
