Rotella 0w40 VOA, any interest

I see there is a VOA from 2018 for Rotella 0w40. I have like 11+ gallons of the oil, wonder if any interest in seeing another VOA of this oil. My jugs are all 2019 date by the way. Let me know here or via PM is fine.

The VOA is for SN/CJ-4, so if that's what the bottles you have are, I don't see when there would be any difference between them and the 2018 VOA, I'm a little interested in knowing if there's any difference between the CK-4 version and the CJ-4/SN version but not enough to chunk out the change for a VOA.

I know mine are CJ4/SN so I’ll not do a VOA. I’ll double check all them to be safe though

Shell to release T6 full synthetic 0W-40 oil for extreme cold (fleetequipmentmag.com)
Aparently the CK-4 transition happened early last year, but Shell doesn't seem to have a PDS, although the bottle says it meets Ford WSS-M2C171-F1 which means that it has to have a minimum of 1000ppm phosphorous, but from what I've seen of 5w40 and 15w40 T6, it's probably pretty close to 1000ppm

So, looking at 2 lone jugs one is December 2016 and other is March 2019.
Guess I’ll keep them. Others are all 2016

I contacted Shell, they say the CK-4 version has 1100ppm of phosphorous and they also sent me the PDS for the CK-4 version

If concerned about the Phosphorous levels, through in a quart or two PP depending on your sump size.

The CJ-4 datasheet appears to be exactly the same as the CK-4, and the CJ-4 VOA showed 1125ppm of phophorous so that's probably within margin of error of 1099ppm. I think it may be the same oil with a few new certs and they dropped the dual rating.

I do not think so. The AAP stuff was 0/5W-20 and 5W-30. I scored a lot of it, but never saw any 0W-40.

There's been an ongoing clearance of T6 0W-40, either $11.95 or $5.95 depending on the store and how generous the corporate bean counters are this week.

Ah, I thought he was referring to the previous clearance. My mistake.

I thought it might be, just this last Friday, I picked up 6 gallon jugs of T6 0w40 from AAP, for $5.95 each. Maybe the viscosity of what is on sale varies by area.

It probably is. I was thinking about the last AAP clearance and did not realize they were doing it again.
