Nothing I can think of more dangerous to a 55+ man than a ladder. I always think of General Shelton special forces guy with nearly 1,000 jumps from aircraft, both static line and haho/halo, and what happened to him on a ladder shortly after his retirement from the military.

Sadly, along the same lines billionaire Ken Hendricks, the one time roofer who founded ABC roofing supply died at 66. He was on his own roof and died of a fall.
On another note, those extended rake boards are kind of a different look from what we're used to here in the midwest. Do the shingles extend across or down into the gutters?

Dang. Wow.

The shingles should have but the original roofers were negligent. I remedied the situation

 
lightly wire brushed my 5/12 garage roof a few years ago, now 76 yo + only scoot up the back to my spinning ventilator to install-remove a screw to allow or not spinning!
