I know we produce a lot of crude via fracking now, but at one time we spent a little money fighting in the Middle East over oil producing areas. Believe that would qualify as a “subsidy”, not even mentioning tax breaks, leasing of development rights, etc., etc. This coming from a person who doesn’t believe EV is anywhere near ready for prime time-and doesn’t run his 5K+ van (truck) unless he’s hauling something with it, too expensive. Maybe my almost being t-boned by a brodozer that couldn’t be bothered to stop for an obvious red light (which would have killed me for sure) is affecting my “tone”.
