Rock Auto 5% discount code

I’ve never traded with Rockauto. Do they ship fast? Do they add steep shipping charges on?
Shipping is generally fast, but you will have to watch out for shipping charges if you have multiple items. Pay close attention to which warehouse an item is shipping from. Sometimes if you take 1 item away the shipping will be much cheaper because that item has to come from a different warehouse.

I'm in central Canada. Even with shipping costs, RA is almost always the most economical way for me to get parts. (E.g. I just installed a pair of Quick-Struts in a friend's Nissan Versa. RA was c. C$300 all-in. Locally they were c. $220 each plus 12% sales tax plus my time to pick them up.

RA's website is really good - I can check out the various options, which is hard when I phone a local jobber. (I've bought front end parts locally, and was dismayed to find they had grease fittings.)

As @72C10 said, you have to be a bit strategic about minimizing shipping costs. Once you have an item in your cart, items that ship from the same warehouse will have a speedy truck icon next to them.

I've only received one part damaged in shipping, and the return process went smoothly.

I don't buy tons of parts, but I always end up back at Rock Auto. The selection is great, prices too. You simply pay actual shipping costs, so select the whole order from either warehouse A or B, to keep cost to a minimum. I like the selection above all.

Sometimes a more expensive item is cheaper if the shipping works out.
