We discuss these transporters on BITOG time to time. Cam across one at a Maverick gas station this afternoon. I am sure that can exceeds it limits with just the vehicle on the trailer, let along its caboose.

I tow a lot of stuff. And towing can be nerve racking for so many reasons. These drivers must have nerves of steel. This driver is out of Mexico.

When I was working and on I-59 regularly I would see these southbound Mexican caravans. My daughter lived in Mexico and says the cars are either brought in and stripped for parts or if it can be made to run they sell as used car. Used parts are the main way the working man keeps his transportation going down there. I visited a one owner garage down there. The business had a small (maybe 12' x 16') building located on the street. That is where he kept his tools. All actual work on the cars was done on the sidewalk and street. Almost all vehicles are driven with some degree of body damage.

We see a lot of double tow bars coming out of Copart in South Denver heading south on I-25. Cops leave them alone.

That’s what gets us. We’re perfectly legal and everything is by the book, yet these guys run up and down the interstate in that 3rd world setup.
With that said, we’ve only been stopped a few times over the years, but still, why isn’t this nonsense squashed? There’s far too many DOT cops and State Police on the interstate to allow this to go on. I don’t get it. 🤔

Wonder if they were driving with their hazards on? In MX everyone drives with their hazards on all the time. Even in small cars not towing. I think it's amusing

Saw a couple of tacomas towing tacomas in Texas a couple of weeks ago. all 4 looked to be similar vintage but two were towing the other two. Would say early 2000s and well used. Heading southeast toward San Antonio on the I10 at 50mph or so.

Yes, I have seen the same Tacoma towing vintage Tacomas all over the Pacific Northwest and California. Not sure what it is about, but definitely more common than expected.

I've seen them as far north as St. Louis, headed south...

Regularly seen here in the Minneapolis area headed south on I-35 -. Typically a group of them together with one or two vans or crew cab trucks with plates from mexico...

I'll state I have called the authorites on a convoy of these that was even worse than the usual ones...
