We think GC has an HTHS of 3.6.
 
That sucks.
For some reason I though RL oils were near the heart of the viscosity range for their grade.
Oh well, it should still make a good summer/track use oil. Which is infact the reason I bought it

RL's HTHS is usually that of one grade above it.

And that's the forte of this excellent (although thick) VII free oil.

Going by kinematic viscosity they usually are, with the exception of their 5W-20 which is on the thick end for 20-weights, it's the HTHS viscosity that runs high in RL oils.

Vis @ 100°C, cSt: 10.6
Vis @ 40°C, cSt: 62
HTHS Vis, cP: 3.8

Mobil 1 5w30
Vis @ 100°C, cSt: 11.1
Vis @ 40°C, cSt: 63.1
HTHS Vis, cP: 3.13

Pennzoil Ultra
Vis @ 100°C, cSt: 10.3
Vis @ 40°C, cSt: 57.3
HTHS Vis, cP: 3.1

Amsoil 5w30 (ASL)
Vis @ 100°C, cSt: 10.8
Vis @ 40°C, cSt: 60.7
HTHS Vis, cP: 3.2
