Rivian has finally announced specs on their new dual-motor models. The 4-motor trucks use Bosch motors. The new motors are in-house Rivian designed.

This vehicle is selling well locally for price point. My 17 yr old daughter noticed 5 parked at local high end stores plaza she works in. She asked what it was , as we drove 10 mins we saw two more .
Rivian hit the mark in appealing to people with $100k+ hole burning in their pockets…..Ford missed the boat as Lightning I have barely seen or they blend in too much.

This can be seen as a detriment, but F150 drivers want to blend in. That's why the Lincoln versions always fail. It's too fancy as a truck for F150 buyers.They blend in. Look for the lightning bolt in the rear corner. And no twice pipes...
I think the Lightning would be fun, but a lousy truck. Actually, I prefer older trucks because new ones cost a million bucks and I would cry when I scratched it.
My last F150 cost as much as my Model 3 and then I had to put gas in it while getting 18mpg. Yeah, it was reliable(which the EV version can't say) and service was quick and easy, but it was also as boring as watching paint dry.
Our 01 Tundra, 214K, is perfect. Almost never seen the inside of a garage.
Oh I'm sure and I think my F150 would be the same, it just wasn't the right vehicle for me. If there's one thing for sure, the popular trucks seem to be reliable.
Well right now Rivian is profitable and they will soon be starting a second plant in Georgia.
I think the idea of free hype and free subsidies make EVs an easy target in general. However market share is experiencing a near doubling this year which is well north of 5%.
Once Ford and GM get their customary free publicity for their mass produced EVs, you'll see a softening of the anti-EV attitudes. EVs are just going through a similar arc of media driven bias as imports experienced a few generations ago.

Rivian said it lost almost $6.8 billion in 2022, compared to almost $4.7 billion the previous year. On a quarterly basis, Rivian said it was able to trim its losses to about $1.7 billion during the final three months of the year, down from about $2.5 billion in the third quarter.
