Rislone Engine Treatment - Smells like Strong Chemicals

We just changed the oil/filter in daughters Suzuki after first Rislone clean. It’s done a great job with notable compression increase. 600ml added again for phase II.
Was there noticeable sludge or carbon in the filter? Improvement in compression seems to be a good enough indicator that it’s cleaning rings and all.
Good to hear

Nasty looking oil/filter (cut open). This in an engine thats internals looked like new pre clean. Same with the ‘Barra’ engine in my Falcon. I’ll give it another 1,000 kms and move to ‘Phase II’. Previously synthetic oil and short oci’s in both engines.

Any updates on Phase II?

i just poured a 500mL bottle in for the last 500 miles, they didn't have regular so i went with the high mileage formula.
i love the fruity smell. lol!
While nothing wrong with your approach - Rislone can be used for the length of your normal OCI (it’s somewhat slow acting) . Another way to consider using Rislone is to add a bottle every third OCI and run for at least 3,000 miles then dump the oil and oil filter (returning to your normal oil + oil filter). This is what I now do with my GDI engine to aid in a little extra ring cleaning M1 oil may have missed . I’ll also use Rislone as a make up oil for my GDI engine during an OCI if I don’t have any leftover synthetic oil from previous oil changes .

Slow is an understatement. Happy with that. And adding a bottle for 500 miles was pretty pointless as you said.

Has anyone tried the recommended 2 bottles for 100 miles on really dirty engines?
Not yet but I'm thinking about it. My wifes 2016 Mazda CX-5 goes through about a quart every 2-3k miles. I've done a B12 piston soak and am currently running a quart of HPL's EC30 engine cleaner in with some synthetic oil for about 3k. I plan to change and inspect the oil filter at 1,000 miles to see if it is getting loaded up or if it is clean.

The goal is to free up the oil rings, if that is indeed the culprit. My potential next moves might be a BG EPR flush followed by some Rislone for the fun of it. Was thinking of using two bottles and changing the filter after a couple hundred miles. If it is free of debris I might leave it in there for a short 2-3k OCI.

After that I'm moving on to HPL's oil full time. If the oil issue is fixed, great....if not I'll be certain that the engine is spotless!
