Very sorry to hear about your loss. She had a good life though, and she told you when it was time to let her go. You did the right thing.
My cat that I had from a small kitten had to be put down three years ago for kidney problems as well. I still miss him and think about him often. It's hard to lose an animal who has become a member of your family.

Losing a pet is very hard, but you did the right thing. I really love the personality of Siamese cats.
We took in a Siamese back in 2009, after 5 or so months he started to have kidney problems. We gave him IVs for a few months.
He was fighting, but eventually there comes a point where they tell you (in their own way, you know) that it's time.
