Some drivers may not like the increased odds of overlooking a pedestrian or a bicyclist coming from behind, because they have to pay increased attention towards the left when making a right turn on red. Surely there is a reason why the right turn on red is merely a legal option abd not a law.
Here is driver behavior I don't get: When on a one-way street, and about to make a left turn into another one-way street, why do many drivers not stay to the far left of their lane but smack-dab in the middle? By being on the left, they would have a superior view of vehicles coming from the right.
