Displaced Left Turn Crossover Lane

I watched a video on the DLT and understand it from a safety issue, but not from an efficiency standpoint.

The DDT's are really efficient and I now recognize intersections that would benefit from them.

Roundabouts are also pretty efficient, but there's so many different designs that you really need to pay attention first couple of times through.
 
DDIs helped the rt59/i88 alot and it looks like they're almost done with the Weber/I55 one too. Thank god because those intersections are getting a nasty amount of traffic.
Yes, the congestion on Rt. 59/I-88 interchange was terrible and from what I've seen since the DDI there pretty much isn't congestion. I think the Weber/I-55 interchange has taken almost 4 years of construction. How it could take that long I don't understand, but it sure will be nice when they are done.
