Nailheads are well built engines, and relatively narrow(they were designed for straight 8 engine bays). They can look pretty cool too.

The 215 is cool because it's aluminum, but getting hard to find, and older. The Buick 300/340/350 is based on the 215 and shares a lot of parts with the Buick V6. They are some of lightest V8s from that era and make tons of low end torque due to a long stroke.

Thats pretty neat how the one has the blower setup to use the "exhaust" ports as the intake and exhaust through the "intake" ports.
Now that Im looking at the other one...Thats clever. AWD dragster. *slow clap*

The 5.0 isn't pretty while the 4.6 4V is, especially with Sullivan cam covers.

I've seen Mod motors, and other larger engines in Model As, and the hood sides are usually cut out. I wasn't suggesting you run a Mod motor, just responding to the comment that Modulars look out of place in cars of that era. IMO, 4.6 and 5.4 4Vs look great in "street rod" types.

Maybe in modern sleek ones, but this whole thing is going to have that late 50's to mid 60's style.

to: JasonC iam a chrysler guy. is the 302 and 351 w in the same famiy? would not the 302 fit easy into that guys model A? i have found it odd when a guy with a 55 chevy says "i put a corvet engine it to be different" yea like the other 55,000 guys.

The 302 and 351 windsor are in the the same family, but unlike the small block chevy not everything interchanges. The intakes for instance are different. The 351 intake is wider. But the 289, the 302, and the 351w are all in the same family.

The 351W has similar dimensions to the SB Chevy, the 289/302 are actually smaller than either, so can't accommodate much more than a 3.4" stroke and that's aftermarket... Factory crank in the 302 is 3" & the 351 is 3.5", the big Windsor(351) can be stuffed with enough crank to produce over 430cu in... The 351 Cleveland used a shorter deck height than the Windsor so those can only be stroked to a little over 400cu in... The 351M is a tall block Cleveland and can be stroked to around 440cu in, maybe more... The 351M is actually a destroked 400, that engine had been around three or four years prior to the 351M seeing light of day...
