I see this coming in my situation. I'm about 3 years from retirement. A light day for me is 12 hours and a 130 mile commute. So when I get home, I'm pretty whooped. My wife works out of the house an average of 18 hours a week, 5 minutes from home. Still, I do my share around the house, sometimes not as quickly as she would like. The last time she started in on me, I merely suggested that she call her Mother and inquire if her old room was still available. Worked like a charm.

That is not the point. The point is that a lot of men get pushed and taken for granted by women as if they are robots of some sort. Vanishing is a way of having her see if the man has real value to her or not. Is he a partner in life or a mere punching bag? If he is the latter, it is best to find out sooner than later.

Creeping feminism has taught a lot of women to treat men as disposable assets. Don't tolerate it. Ask twenty women what a "real man" is and none will be able to give a satisfactory answer.

So don't "real man" yourself into a heart attack. I say that life is too short, and the outback is always friendly.
