Maybe I should go over and buy your old one, haha! That'd be great if it was kept in the BITOG family.
Yes; the exact same color (Tuxedo Black with Black interior). LOL - that would be pretty cool. You would already have most of the maintenance records.

3.55; which seemed to be the lowest on the lot. I had 3.73 in the F150.

There is a reason I put Maximagay on my ignore list over six months ago. If we don't respond to his hateful liberal trolling then he might go away. He's like some sci-fi/fantasy demon that gets power from spreading hate and discontent.

Literally ignore him
, he does not offer anything positive to this forum, or the world in general IMHO.

Easy to just get right past him. Expecting all to agree is just as ridiculous. This is an open forum.

Back OT, CONGRATS! Nothing like the thrill of a new vehicle that excites you. Good luck with the purchase...

Yep; I think that is the 2017 model change.

Thanks Steve; I am really liking it!

What are you talking about? Can you elaborate just a bit more?

The spy shots of the 2017 Super Duty point to it being the same body as the F150 but with the typical much heavier duty frame and running gear. Instead of a completely different body than the F150.

I think the 98-06 are the best looking "modern" trucks. I have always liked the design of the super duty, maybe not the 07-10 as much, but the current ones look good as well.

About the 6.2, I was just curious about what Ford was offering for a gas alternative. My dad is looking for a 3/4 ton pickup to pull cars with, and right now he's looking at two Rams. One is a 5.7,the other a 6.4 Hemi.

AFAIK, no OTR diesels are OHC...all are pushrod designs. 4-valve pushrod diesels dats to the 1930's.

You are missing the point. 14MPG is what these large trucks return, the vehicles you are talking about give easily >25MPG and retain value pretty [censored] good (the more the GVWR the more the wear) and we sure are going to be energy independent w/ lousy auto buying habits. Enough said.

My 6500lb F350 managed 22MPG highway...better than my Cherokee, considerably better than my Dakota, better than my Magnum, and matching my mother's Sable.

When do you replace your gas-guzzling SUV with a moped?

Pl. tell me how vehicles in the range of 3500-4500 lb GVWR will give same MPG as this beast which is 10,000 lbs. Complete hogwash, if he got avg 12-14MPG, he should consider himself blessed w/ the purchase

Diesel. Yes, it's that simple!

The fact that the aluminum all new 16's are right around the corner must hurt sales.

Nice work truck hopefully it makes a lot of money! Those make pretty good plow trucks, just the sander rots the rear bumper and bed a bit.

I recall that Ford explicitly prohibits putting a plow on a crewcab diesel, probably due to front axle weight.

Cummins ISX has roller followers that ride directly on the camshafts, which are in the head. Not sure about others.

Wrong. Snow Plow Prep Package (473) is available on all 4x4 Super Duty Pickups.

Wrong. In addition to what's already been mentioned:

Detroit DD13/DD15/DD16 are DOHC.
Volvo D13/D16 are SOHC.

Well, here ya go! No actual specs on the engines but they will have a 6.2v8, 6.8v10,ans the 6.7 diesel.
