Buy it from CarMax with bumper to bumper unlimited miles extended warranty and become a youtube celebrity to support your lifestyle.

Doug Demuro does it with Aston Martin and Land Rover; so can you with Maserati.

You're probably much better off asking the same question on a Maserati specific forum.

On this forum, you will most likely see responses from people that think along these lines: "I have no real world experience with the topic at hand, but I feel compelled to share opinion that was formed using google search".

When I think geezer car I think Buick park avenue, Buick roadmaster, Cadillac Deville,

Who cares how fast 0-60 it is look at that thing man. Its like a Vespa, it may be fun to ride but you don't want anyone see you doing it.

Hahaha trav I'm gonna use that one on my uncle who has a vespa!

I really wanted to get one for my wife back in '04, but couldn't work up the nerve and got her another Jaguar.

Masers are beautiful cars, I would love to have one in my fleet.

I know a bit about these cars because I've looked at them too. I don't recall it now, but at some point they changed from the "F1" style trans to a ZF 8 speed auto. The F1, single disk electric clutch, wears out pretty often and is expensive to replace. That is what you want to avoid. If it has the 8 speed, they're not bad cars. I think for the most part the value on all of them is dragged down by the issues of the earlier model.

I don't see a single Maserati or Aston Martin in their national inventory. CarMax does have 90 Land Rovers in stock.

If you want exotic performance and willing to put up with the upkeep, why not get AMG or BMW M or Audi RS? I may be wrong but I don't believe QP is going to beat them at their game in raw performance.

Bitog is full of folks with financial sense over emotion in car buying. This car makes no financial sense it's an emotional choice.

If you take that attitude towards Toyota, then you can't afford a trident in the grill. WhY? because you need private college tuition amounts of disposable income to operate these cars... and something that is reliable that you can drive daily. And people with that type of resources does not say "lessucx".

Everything. If you are asking then I really would not even consider it as an option... especially if you do not have mad-oil money. It is nearly a kit car but with a brand image. Expect the build quality to be all over the place. Expect repairs to be absurd and absurdly expensive. You are basically buying a broken luxury 40' boat. It is expensive, you can't really use it as much and the cost/use ratio is more than any other option. Folks own these that can just toss money out their charter jet or they understand the mechanical and can do their own work. Not "corner shop owner/mechanic" I mean boutique master craftsman obb-ball engineer that can afford them... but they often just end up with an S-Class.

The reason they are "cheap" compared to a 911 or other luxury sports option is that enough folks know the stay away.

Still, I turn to hear a QP go by... M5s would not even garner a blink.

The Maserati QP is a fine car. Maintenance can be expensive but should be manageable if you can budget about 3500/yr. Best bet is to find a later one with a conventional automatic. They also updated the interior so the plastics didn't peel so easy.

I know that they literally have Ferrari engines, built in the Ferrari engine factory, so the writing on the wall is right there for you.

Don't mis take the purpose of this car. It is not a means to replace a "regular" car as a daily driver.

Stand in front of any of the 7, 8, or 9 car garages in my neighborhood and look inside. You will see race cars, pedigree classics, exotics, vintage bikes, and more. You'll find the keys locked away in a special box.

Back up 100 feet, and you'll see a Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade, Toyota/Lexus hybrid, or some real normal car like that parked in the driveway. Keys are usually kept in a dish right by the door, since they are used most frequently.

The "I wouldn't drive anything less than a ________" attitude only exists in movies and Southern California where they are made.
