Report no TOP TIER™ Logo at Station

Pretty much all the stations I use here have them, Shell, Marathon and Chevron. But i have seen them on the inside of filler doors on some sport compact cars. Sort of like when they used to peel off the 93 oct stickers and do the same.

This whole topic just has “Who cares?” written all over it.
I don’t understand the fuss about the stickers/logo. If the station you use is a Top Tier station that’s all you need to know. I am confident that when I fill up at Shell or Costco here that not only am I getting TT fuel but that both of these stations have the highest amount of detergents in them over other stations here.

It's a common thing . 🤬
I used to have to replace these when I worked at a grocery store that also sold gas. You would think with all the room inside those pumps that it would be a humongous roll, but nope! It was maybe 4 or 5 inches in diameter and empty within two weeks if you were lucky.

Then why have a whole site dedicated to oil? Buy whatever weight your manual says to use that meets spec and that's all, right? No need to talk about it, get VOA.....

The idea is that people here know that the brand name alone is enough.

That being said, I remember over a d3cad3 ago seeing a Valero station with a Top Tier sticker near the cashier. This was way back when they clearly weren’t participating. That might be a case where it was false advertising and could have been reported. But for the most part I don’t believe Top Tier takes it that seriously that a licensed brand’s station doesn’t have some sort of signage with the logo.

although if Dexos approval marking starts disappearing from Mobil 1 bottles, I am sure people will start asking if anything has changed.

The only station I ever saw a Top Tier sticker was a Citgo in Scio , NY. It is proven that running top tier gas creates 19x less deposits in your engine. To me that's like changing my oil. It's cheap insurance. I have a 2500 6.4 Hemi that tows, hauls, and is in very cold weather a lot so I don't mind changing my oil every 4k miles and if running better gas helps keep it healthy I don't mind paying for it. Truthfully I mostly run Mobile regular and add a can of redline fuel system cleaner about every other oil change. With the Mobile card I get 10cents a gallon off and with the upside app I usually get another 5cents off so I'm paying about the same as cheap gas around me

Many times TT gas can be the cheapest gas, or available in a cluster of stations having a gas war.
If it is a clean, high volume station, and it is the same price, why not?
This is a good point to make. And, I’ll just add that Costco will often though not always be the cheapest TT FUEL in markets where they are located.

So should one be concerned if your local gas station, Phillips 66, for as long as I can remember,
had Top Tier stickers on all their pumps but today I notice they've all been removed?
Drove to the other Phillips 66 station across town and those stickers also removed.

Probably just preparing for the new Top Tier+ stickers.

Stickers deteriorate with age and get peeled off all of the time, and often don't get replaced. A lot of Top Tier stations around here are like that. Phillips 66 is still listed on the Top Tier website, so I wouldn't worry.

I don't really understand how there can be multiple TT gas stations in an area like Buffalo, NY but not one Top Tier Diesel supplier in the area according to the app. In fact there isn't one within 100 miles.

Seriously?????????? I guess the people who are preoccupied with this are the same people who refuse to use the bathrooms in their hotel rooms if the toilet seats do not have a band across them proclaiming that the can has been "Sanitized For Your Protection."

TT Diesel never took off. There has been a little more direction for "Premium Diesel". Cenex & a few others offers it in select locations.

Yeah, Don't clean your toilet... ever! If you want a clean seat or clean water splashing up on you... too bad...or as you basically put it... "quit complaining".
