Its time to replace the fuel filter and I think there is a banjo bolt on top, but unsure whats on the bottom, since its mounted vertically and I cannot see whats on the bottom. Its held by a clamp bracket.

Maybe you take off the banjo bolt on top, then loosen the clamp bracket and then unscrew the filter from a mount? Not sure.

I am hoping I do not need to get a wrench on the bottom and unscrew some fitting I cannot see.

You do need to get a wrench on the bottom, two actually (to stabilize the filter). It's a compression fitting. PITA if it's like my 94 Corolla. Be very careful and watch for fuel leaks because from what I've found out, the bottom compression fitting on many Toyota fuel filters was overtightened at the factory and you really have to get it tight to seal. many need the fuel line replaced up to the filter. My Toyota guy keeps them in stock - has one wall dedicated to fuel lines!

you have to loosen the bolts on top and underneath, then undo the bracket. Just replaced it on my car, a Toyota Avalon. different engine, but my mechanic said that camrys with 4 cyl engines and the v-6 are the same basic set-up

Are you stabilizing the filter with a wrench? Righty tighty lefty loosy as well?

You might want to take it to a Toyota specialist. Toyota has a special wrench just for these [censored] fuel filters.

I got mine off and no matter how hard I tightened the new one, it leaked - had to have it towed to a Toyota specialist who cranked it on with the special wrench.
