Replace/alternative for the EaBP/BE series??

Is there another alternative to the Amsoil EaBP or BE series bypass filters? Another manufacturer that makes a similar filter??

Just looking for other options as the EaBPs are fairly expensive...I know the dodge CTD filter will fit the threads, but I was looking for another alternative that filters as well as the EaBPs...

There was the owner of a lawn equipment company which features an AMSOIL bypass filter on the top-of-the-line mowers. He told me he had contacted every filter manufacturer he could find, and no-one could do it for the price.

If you can find one, let us know.

Ok, Thanks...that's what I was afraid of...

I know I have spoken with several places that could make filters, but to be competetively priced required buying A LOT of filters...

Oh, and sorry this ended up in the wrong forum...should be under the bypass filter...dumb newb didn't realize this place already had a bypass filter thread...

You can find plenty of filters that filter as fine as the Amsoil BE line...but they won't last very long and will cost near as much. You'll also have to be a different mount. There are also other commercial bypass filters ..but they don't filter as fine.

But Amsoil is the only company to offer that bypass filter in that thread (as you've gathered).

I've gone at this from every angle ..and it's just a matter of how often you want to swap filters and how fine you want to filter. Amsoil's BE line give a very good balance between fine filtration and longevity for the buck.

OTOH, TP is by far the cheapest media that one can ask for ..the only problem is, if you look at it as such, is the service interval. It really lends itself to those doing (normally) 3k/3m type service to their car. They can reduce their costs to about $10/year. It works for other too, it's just you're kinda looking at 3k-5k service intervals no matter how many miles you drive ..so if you're a 25k driver ..you've got up to 8 service intervals a year...and that may mean up to 8 quarts of oil.

Currently I'm doing 20k on the EaBP filter and 10k on the oil and full flow filter (Rotella 15w40 and Mopar/Fleetguard filter)...I am still doing less than the 15k factory OCI...

Plus the fact I can turn 2100 miles out in two days...while TP is VERY appealing, it would require too much changing...

I chose the EaBP because it was the best choice for a spin on I could find, but I also thought I would be able to find a cross ref to another filter...guess I thought wrong!
