Repairing Rear Defogger/Defrosters

My electric connector tab popped off the passenger side of my Sebring convertible rear defogger/defroster grid on the glass.
Now it doesn't work.

I bought a Permatex kit to bond it back on.

I see there is another kit by Frostfighter.

Only to read the directions, and don't skimp on cleaning.
And give it the proper cure time.
Those repair kits work well for opens in the circuit.
I never replaced a tab with one.
I have actually soldered some on and they worked well! This is not recommended. Other stuff can break or be made worse.

When the tab fell off, I tried the glue on kit from Permatex. It worked for about 2 yrs. Then I made a pig tail with a large ring terminal on it. I pushed the ring under the window gasket with the tail against the contact patch. It was still working when I retired the car 5 yrs later.

Well it is repaired for now anyway.

Well I tried the Permatex repair kit and it does not work. Stuck well but not conductive enough to make defroster work.

I have ordered the Frost Fighter repair kit.

Well I used the Frost Fighter Kit to repair it and it works great now!
