I've got a cracked head gasket on my 97 explorer 4.0L v6. I know I should just replace the head gaskets but Im just not yet ready financially or time wise to do so. I am asking for your opinions on this Bar's Leak Head Gasket Repair. I am losing coolant at about 1/2 a qt per week. It is burning off in the exhaust. Light smoke for about 2-3 minutes following a cold start. Thanks in advance.

If it is a cracked gasket, maybe, but really best to fix it before any more damage occurs.

More common with those is a cracked head, between the valves. You can try a stop leak, but usually it's just wishful thinking.
